With this Sapphire Blue Strat, Fender pay full tribute to Vulfpeck funkmaster, Cory Wong. Based on the guitarist's favourite blue Stratocaster, this Artist Series model comes just as gig-ready. One striking detail is the fact that the alder body is a tiny bit smaller than that of a standard Strat for increased comfort, which is taken to an even higher level by the satin-gloss lacquer on the body and the back of the neck. Further, Fender have fitted Wong's signature model with the same neck American Ultra Series strats have, meaning you're getting a modern D-profile and a 10" to 14" compound radius fretboard with 22 medium frets.

The Cory Wong Stratocaster comes loaded with a Seymour Duncan® Cory Wong Clean Machine Custom Stack Plus™ at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan® Cory Wong Clean Machine™ Single Coil in the middle and neck positions, giving you that immediately-familiar, mega-funky 'quack' that can be dropped straight into melodic leads. What's also great is that you get a 5-way pickup switch that can be bypassed using a smart push-pull switch for direct access to the fourth setting, and Fender include strapblocks, a deluxe hard-shell case, and a special elastic band that can be used to dampen the tremolo springs for uber-tight rhythm parts.
